Product Strategy & Design

Modernized a clinical trials management system

Developed the product strategy and go-to-market approach for a interventional clinical trial management system at a large academic institution. Instituted a revamped product management function and a streamlined engineering process resulting in significant increases in productivity and adoption.

Designed and developed an "untethered" application for remote date capture

In conjunction with a large behavioral health organization, developed a solution to allow care teams to document client progress notes in remote settings without access to the web. Solution is used by hundreds of users and rollout continues.

Integration Architecture

API enabled a legacy behavioral health Electronic Health Record

Developed a strategic plan and implementation guide for a major technology company to incorporate behavioral insights into the design of a workplace wellness program

Integration framework on-demand - Mirth, FHIR, HL7

Designed a framework that can bring up a Mirth deployment on-demand with associated VPN connections. Channels were pre-defined to transform core HL7 message types into easily consumable or standardized formats (JSON, FHIR etc.) which were later open-sourced.

Cloud Security & Compliance

Readied a technology group for HITRUST certification

This engagement covered all aspects of HITRUST readiness including policies, technology and process changes, vulnerability assessments, white and black box pentests, setup of a quality management system (QMS) and much more. The group was able to pass assessments by Fortune 50 companies based on this work.

Cloud enablement of a legacy solution

Migrated a legacy solution to modern technologies such as Docker containers and software defined secure networking with automated backups and failover. The solution is cloud provider agnostic i.e. can be deployed on AWS, Azure or Google with minimal changes.

Behavioral & Data Science

Drove the formation of a nudge collaborative

Designed a framework to allow academic and commerical institutions to share learnings about behavioral nudges to increase physician and patient engagement. This solution is currently under development and will be used across multiple renowned organizations to share and promote the use of proven behavioral nudges to improve health care in general.

Driving innovation and broader adoption of patient engagement techniques

This is part of a broader effort to drive development of innovative techniques to increase patient engagement in managing their health pre and post procedures or diagnosis. Multiple protocols are under development with almost all of them scoring in the 80s and 90s in patient satisfaction scores.
